What Conrad is looking for

Conrad needs an experienced home, experience with Frenchies. He is a door darter and still feels like his mission in life is to run away. He is still trying to learn that people are ok to love and snuggle with and will need an owner who is ok with this and slowly getting him to learn to love. Conrad has some mild issues with guarding his home, he loves going to the park and playing with other dogs, but there is something about his "home" he is possessive about when other dogs come over. His foster home only has one boxer who comes over and that is who he has an issue with then he meets the boxer on neutral ground, anywhere away from home, he is totally fine.

Conrad obviously did not spend one-on-one time with humans where ever he came from, so this will be his biggest thing to get used to. He loves to play with his Bulldog housemate and so we would like him to go to a home with another French Bulldog either a female or a non-dominant male. We will consider the other dog in the home if it is a like-breed, such as a Boston or a Pug if the applicant meets all other criteria.

Conrad is very agile, so a tall and securely fenced yard is a MUST, since he is a door darter we would prefer there be no young children who could accidentally open an exterior door that he may get out of. Conrad is energetic and would probably be a great dog to run with so he could burn off steam since his body type is more athletic than most Frenchies.

Learning Curve

Conrad was neutered last Tuesday and is healing up well. He is still getting the hang of his foster home and is still learning the basics including that pottying in the house is not ok. He is enjoying playing with his foster sister, Piper, the resident Bulldog and she is teaching him which toys are the best.

Conrad is still not ready to be adopted but stay tuned for more Conrad stories!

Welcome Conrad

Conrad came to CBRR from the Everett Animal Shelter. He was picked up by a caring citizen who found him lost and confused along the road.

Without any tags on his collar, they took him to the shelter and found that he also was not microchipped. There the little frenchie sat in a run at the shelter during his stray hold. His owners never came and the Shelter felt going to rescue would be best for him. He has no training, and everything seems new to him. He is not yet up for adoption and has much to learn in his foster home before he will be ready. Please check his blog for updated and for the story of Conrad's lost adventure.

When he is ready he will not be shipped anywhere, please don't ask. Please have a current application on file before you contact us. Contact Tegan for additional information.
